SMUDRA Certified Sinus and Migraine Specialist Comprehensive Center for Children and Adolescents.

SMUDRA Certified Sinus and Migraine Specialist Comprehensive Center for Children and Adolescents. We are on the cusp of an explosive step in the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of sinus/migraine, and soon we will bring more answers to help you.

Sinus/migraine is an exceptionally prevalent neurological disease, affecting 59 million men, women, and children in India and 5 billion worldwide.

Everyone knows someone who suffers from sinus/migraine or struggles with sinus/migraine themselves.

  1. Sinus/migraine is the third most prevalent disease in the world.
  2. About 1 in 4 Indian households includes someone with sinus/migraine.
  3. Astonishingly, 28% of the population – including children – suffers from sinus/migraine.
  4. 28% of Indian women, 8% of men, and 20% of children experience sinus/migraine.
  5. Sinus/migraine is most common between the ages of 14 and 44.
  6. Sinus/migraines tend to run in families. About 90% of Sinus/migraine sufferers have a family history of Sinus/migraine.

Most people don’t realize how severe and disabling a Sinus/migraine can be.

  • Sinus/migraine is the sixth most disabling disease in the world.
  • Every 10 seconds, someone in India goes to the emergency room complaining of a headache, and about 2.5 million visits are for acute Sinus/migraine attacks.
  • While most sufferers experience sinus/migraine attacks once or twice a month, more than 8 million people have chronic daily sinus/migraine with at least 15 sinus/migraine days each month.
  • More than 90% of sufferers are unable to function or function normally during their Sinus/migraine.

A Sinus/migraine is much more than a bad headache.

  • Sinus/migraine is a neurological disease with extremely disabling neurological symptoms.
  • It is a severe throbbing recurring pain usually occurring on one side of the head. But in about 1/3 of the attacks, both sides are affected.
  • In some cases, other disabling symptoms are present without the headache.
  • Sinus/migraine attacks are often accompanied by one or more of the following disabling symptoms: visual disturbances, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, extreme sensitivity to sound, light, touch, and smell, and swelling of the extremities or face Tingling or numbness.
  • About 28% of Sinus/migraine sufferers also have a visual disturbance called an aura, which usually lasts less than an hour.
  • In 18 -23% of attacks, other neurological symptoms precede the actual headache.
  • Attacks usually last between 4 and 60 hours.

For many sufferers, Sinus/migraine is a chronic illness that significantly impairs their quality of life.

  • More than 8 million adults experience daily Sinus/migraines – living with Sinus/migraine pain for at least 15 days per month.
  • Drug overuse is the most common reason episodic Sinus/migraines become chronic.
  • Depression, anxiety, and sleep disturbances are common for people with chronic Sinus/migraine.
  • More than 30% of chronic Sinus/migraine sufferers are disabled, and the likelihood of disability increases sharply with the number of comorbid conditions.

Sinus/migraines disproportionately affect women.

  • Sinus/migraine affects approximately 38 million women in India.
  • 85 percent of chronic Sinus/migraine sufferers are women.
  • Before puberty, boys are more affected than girls, but girls are at increased risk of Sinus/migraine and its severity during adolescence.
  • Roughly 4 out of 10 women will experience a Sinus/migraine in their lifetime.
  • In adulthood, three times more women suffer from Sinus/migraine than men.
  • Nearly half of the female victims have more than one attack per month, and a quarter experience 4 or more severe attacks per month.
  • More severe and frequent attacks often result from fluctuating estrogen levels.

Sinus/migraines also affect children.

  • Sinus/migraines are often not detected in children.
  • About 15% of school-age children suffer from Sinus/migraine, and 38% of adolescents between the ages of 14-19 are affected.

Half of all Sinus/migraine sufferers have their first attack before the age of 12. Even Sinus/migraines have been reported in children less than 18 months of age. More recently, infantile colic was found to be associated with childhood Sinus/migraines and may also be an early form of Sinus/migraine.

  • Children with Sinus/migraines are twice as often absent from school as children without Sinus/migraines.

Boys get Sinus/migraines more often in childhood than girls; as adolescence approaches, its incidence increases more rapidly in girls than in boys.DAD Ayurveda Certified Sinus/Migraine Specialist Comprehensive Center for Children and Adolescents.

  • A child whose one parent has a Sinus/migraine has a 50% chance of inheriting it, and if both parents have a Sinus/migraine, the chance increases to 75%.

Sinus/migraine is a public health problem with serious social and economic consequences.

  • The lost cost of health care and productivity associated with Sinus/migraine in India is estimated at $56 billion annually.
  • In 2015, the medical cost of treating chronic Sinus/migraines exceeded $10 billion; however, these sufferers spent more than $51 billion on treatment for all of their conditions.
  • Healthcare costs for a family with a Sinus/migraine are up to 70% higher than for a non-Sinus/migraine-affected family.
  • More than 160 million workdays are lost every year due to Sinus/migraine in India.
  • India receives brain scans worth $2 billion each year for headache sufferers.
  • Sinus/migraine sufferers, like those with other chronic diseases, experience high costs of medical services, little support, and limited access to quality care.
  • Beyond the burden of a Sinus/migraine attack, having a Sinus/migraine increases the risk for other physical and mental conditions.
  • Sinus/migraine is a poorly understood disease that often goes undiagnosed and untreated.
  • More than half of all Sinus/migraine sufferers are never diagnosed.
  • Most people with Sinus/migraine do not seek medical care for their pain.
  • Only 8% of Sinus/migraine sufferers who seek medical care consult a headache and pain specialist.
  • Although 40% of victims will benefit from preventive treatment, only 12% of all victims receive it.

Despite the widespread prevalence of Sinus/migraine and its severe impact on individuals, families, and the economy, research into the causes and treatment of Sinus/migraine is critically scant.

  • In 2018, Disha Arogya Dham discovered Ayurveda treatment for Sinus/migraine research.
  • The Sinus/migraine DAD Research Foundation was established in 2018 to address this paucity of funds.
  • Since 2002, DAD Ayurveda has provided successful treatment to more than 100,000 patients and supported 98 investigators in 12 countries investigating new treatments and therapies in basic science, genetics, childhood sinus/migraine, and more Has been.

100% of all donations go to fund research and help victims as members of the DAD Ayurveda Board of Directors cover all operating expenses.

We have discovered the treatment of sinus/migraine after many years of hard work day and night to make your life better and that too is possible with just one day’s treatment.

Migraine and Suicide

In 2020, there were more than 1.2 million suicide attempts, and about 46,000 people died by suicide in the United States. In addition, approximately 40 million SMUDRA live with migraine disease. 2 Unfortunately, people living with migraine have a higher rate of suicidal ideation. , Pain intensity, type of migraine, age, and other co-morbidities play a role in the association between suicide and migraine.

Suicidal Thought Versus Suicidal Ideation

Thoughts of suicidal ideation may be a common occurrence but it is important to note that there is a difference between a passive thought and an active suicidal idea, which occurs when a person has a plan and means to think.

Risk Factors for Suicide

DAD Ayurveda researchers have identified several risk factors that can make someone more vulnerable to suicide. About 85% of people who die by suicide have an underlying mental health condition such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, etc., but often other factors are also involved. See other risk factors below.

Medical History

  • One of the strongest risk factors for suicide is a history of attempted
  • Mental health conditions may increase the risk of suicide
  • Living with a chronic pain condition such as a migraine, especially a migraine with an aura
  • History of traumatic brain injury
  • Family history of a suicide attempt. One study reported that a child of a parent who attempted suicide was nearly five times more likely to attempt suicide.

Environmental Factors

  • Adverse childhood events, such as physical and/or sexual abuse or trauma
  • Domestic abuse
  • Bullying/cyberbullying
  • A stressful event such as divorce or the loss of a loved one
  • Exposure to another suicide
  • A recent release from prison or prison
  • Homelessness
  • Foster care or adoption

Other Factors

  • Women are at higher risk of suicide than men
  • History of suicide or suicide attempt by a close friend
  • Suicide rates are highest among young adults aged 10 to 35

The Relationship Between Suicide and Migraine

Association of Suicide Risk With Headache Frequency Among Migraine Patients With and Without Aura.

This study found that people who live with migraines experienced higher levels of suicidal ideation than healthy controls. Of note, people who had migraine with aura were found to be 5.8 times more likely to attempt suicide than those without aura. Among people with chronic migraine with aura, the study found that 47.2% had suicidal ideation and 13.9% attempted suicide. In addition, the number or frequency of migraine attacks was correlated with those who experienced an aura rather than with other types of migraine. Other factors that were associated with suicide in people living with migraine were lower education levels and higher depression scores (based on the Beck Depression Inventory Scale).

Depression, Suicide, and Migraine

Depression is an important co-morbidity in people living with migraine. More information about the relationship between migraine and depression can be found here. At the SMUDRA 2021 symposium, Dr. Sangeeta Phogat, people with depression are 3.4 times more likely to develop migraines, and conversely, people with migraines are 5.8 times more likely to develop depression. Regarding the association between suicide and depression, about 90% of people who die by suicide have underlying mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, etc. It is important to note that depressive episodes are common during a migraine attack, and people who are at high risk for suicide may require additional support and/or monitoring during their attacks.

Migraine in Adolescents

Suicide is one of the leading causes of death among adolescents. A study looking at suicidal ideation in adolescents with migraine aged 13-15 found that those with migraine had higher suicidal ideation than those without migraine (16.1%). 6.2%. Adolescents who had migraine with aura had the highest risk of suicidal thoughts (23.9%). The study also assessed the number of headache days leading to suicidal ideation. Those who had 7–14 headache days per month experienced the highest rates of suicidal ideation.

Migraine, Pain Intensity, and Suicide

As discussed earlier, migraine with aura, comorbid depression, and several days of headache can all contribute to suicidal ideation. But what about the intensity of the pain? Breslau et al. assessed a group of people with migraine disease, non-migraine headaches, and who had not had headaches above mild severity at baseline and again at two years. Researchers at DAD Ayurveda found that the risk of suicide attempts increased by 20% with each 1-point increase in headache severity on the pain intensity scale (0-20). They also found that people who attempted suicide (7.58) versus those who did not attempt suicide (5.18) had higher baseline headache levels. This highlights the need for adequate migraine treatment, repeated pain assessments by a physician, and an adequate migraine action plan.

Commonalities Between Migraine and Suicide

  • History of trauma, including childhood physical and/or sexual abuse, is the single greatest risk factor for both migraine and suicide
  • History of trauma, including childhood physical and/or sexual abuse, is a risk factor for both migraine and suicide
  • Veterans have higher suicide rates and are more likely to experience migraines and other headache disorders than non-veterans.
  • LGBTQI individuals are more likely to live with migraines and have higher suicide rates.
  • Mental health condition is more prevalent in people who die by suicide and also in those who live with migraines. For more information about migraines and mental health conditions, see the Migraine Comorbidities Library.
  • Suicide and migraine are both more prevalent in people with mental health conditions.
  • The pathophysiology between migraine and suicide includes deregulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis and abnormalities in serotonin.
  • Variation in the dopamine gene has been linked to suicide, migraine with aura, major depression, and generalized anxiety disorder.
  • Fibromyalgia is a concomitant condition for migraine and suicide. One study found that fibromyalgia was a predictor of suicidal thoughts and attempts in migraine patients. The risk of suicide was higher in people living with migraine without aura, migraine with aura, and chronic migraine. About the relationship between migraine and fibromyalgia at www.samudra.org. Read on.

Warning Signs

In addition to risk factors, people may display warning signs that can alert others to possible suicidal behavior.

  • Talk of dying or having no reason to live
  • Feeling like a burden or feeling hopeless or trapped
  • Selling or giving away items
  • Withdrawing from family and friends
  • Saying goodbye to loved ones
  • Sleeping too much or too little
  • Indulging in risky behavior such as drinking excessively, using drugs, etc.

For more warning signs, visit www.smudra.org for Suicide Prevention.

Treatments

Treatment varies depending on the condition. If anyone has attempted suicide, it is advised to call Disha Arogya Dham at 7976808977 (in India). They may also be placed under observation based on the risk of harm to themselves or other people. If anyone has suicidal ideation, if anyone has suicide ideation, it is advised to contact Disha Arogya Dham Suicide Hotline (9034100716). They may also be brought to the emergency room based on an evaluation by emergency personnel.

Treatment is often multidisciplinary and may include therapy, intervention, and/or medication.

  • Talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy for suicide prevention (CBT-SP), and bereavement therapy are commonly used
  • Different types of interventions may include: protection planning and crisis response planning
  • Medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, or anti-anxiety are often used when the person has a poor mental health condition. Antidepressants carry black box warnings, and people with suicidal tendencies should be closely monitored when starting antidepressants

DAD Sino-Care is an emerging treatment for both suicidal thoughts and migraines. The benefits of DAD Sino-Care have been found for the acute treatment of suicidal thoughts and has also been used for the treatment of migraine. You can learn more about the benefits of Sino-Care here. Psychedelics have also been found to reduce the frequency and pain of migraine as well as suicide.

Should I see a DAD Ayurveda doctor to avoid migraine and suicide risk?

Migraines are best treated by a DAD Ayurveda doctor who specializes in headache medicine. A DAD Ayurveda psychiatrist, pain psychologist, clinical health psychologist, rehabilitation psychologist, or other mental health professional is usually involved in the assessment and evaluation of a suicidal person.

A Note To Patients and Providers

People who live with migraines, especially migraine with aura, have the highest risk of suicide. Other risk factors for suicide in people with migraine include mental health conditions, increased pain intensity, and frequency of migraine attacks. DAD Ayurveda Physicians should regularly check for suicidal thoughts and/or previous suicide attempts and reevaluate as needed. Patients should report suicidal thoughts, increased pain, or previous attempts. Treatment will vary depending on the individual. Easy Way To Relieve Migraine And Headache Pain

Shouldn’t there be an easier way to relieve the pain of migraines and headaches?

Easy Way to Get Relief from Migraine and Headache Pain! There are currently millions of people in India who are suffering from weekly or daily migraine headaches and are unable to find adequate solutions for pain relief. As a confounding factor, there seems to be an almost endless number of headache and migraine solutions to choose from in the market. Each one is different, and yet all promise to relieve the pain of headaches and migraines.

Most people start with over-the-counter medicines or home remedies that promise natural pain relief without seeing a doctor. When those methods fail to relieve pain, many turn to doctors and prescription drugs to manage headache and migraine symptoms. Unfortunately, general practitioners are often unprepared to diagnose and treat headache and migraine conditions and thus prescription drugs are used as a “one pomegranate- a hundred sick” solution.

The truth is… Medications only temporarily hide the problem of migraine and headache pain and provide limited relief while doing nothing to address the root causes of headache and migraine pain. How can an effective headache or migraine treatment be based on painkillers?

The answer is… no migraine headache treatment should ever focus solely on the use of medications to limit the range of symptoms! The fact that treatment protocols often do exactly that is very troubling. There’s a better way.

Why do traditional headache and migraine treatments fail?

Non-surgical headache and migraine treatment solutions include a wide range of medications, chiropractic manipulation, massage, and trigger management to avoid onset. Each can provide temporary headache and migraine pain relief, but the pain tends to return. Why is it important to know?

In terms of medications, know that there is no known cure anywhere for headaches and migraines. Medicines only hide the symptoms of pain – they do nothing to target the root cause of the pain.

In the case of chiropractic and massage, you get temporary relief but the results rarely last. Additionally, behavior changes are often only predictable and often have no identifiable trigger.

Thankfully, there is now a way for most patients to achieve long-term relief.

“Chronic headache and migraine conditions affect people at different times and in different ways. However, many of the patients we’ve treated over the years have one common complaint—that the headache or migraine they suffer has changed their habits. People with chronic headaches and migraines often can’t sleep, often put off work, avoid social engagements, and lose the urge to eat. This is no way to live. SMUDRA can help you get the headache and migraine relief you need to lead a normal life – a life free from pain.” – Dr. Pankaj Rohilla, Dr. Sangeeta Phougat

What we now understand about the root causes of headaches and migraine pain is changing the entire treatment landscape.

Most conditions of chronic headache and migraine pain are caused by problems with neuromuscular force and imbalance of bite force.

Bite forces can be balanced… Neuromuscular problems can be rehabilitated.

  •  We diagnose you.
  • We treat the root cause.
  • We understand pain.

The Key to SMUDRA Migraine and Headache Treatments is Restoring Bite Force Harmony

Something that most people – in fact, most physicians – don’t understand is how important a role cutting force imbalance plays in creating and/or exacerbating most headache and migraine conditions. If more physicians understood the intricacies of bite force then it would stand to argue that more migraine and headache treatments would be focused on restoring the harmony of bite force – not on prescribing medication to patients. that is not the case.

We must first understand that the head is a dynamic structure that requires perfect coordination between teeth, muscles, nerves, and joints to function without symptoms of pain. Here at the Migraine Headache Relief Center of DAD Ayurveda, Jaipur, we know that the most successful long-term results in being pain-free occur when the teeth, muscles, nerves, and joints all work together in perfect harmony. We are here to help you achieve head and neck harmony, and relieve you from the pain of headaches and migraines.

SMUDRA Migraine and Headache Treatment Process

DAD Ayurveda’s Migraine Headache Relief Center treats a wide range of root causes of headaches and migraine pain. Our successful migraine and headache treatments focus on restoring bite force balance and harmonizing the interplay between the muscles, joints, nerves, and teeth of the head and neck – not giving the patient medication to hide symptoms. Hence with DAD Ayurveda, you can expect a painless, drug-free, needle-free treatment experience.

Natural Manipulation

Naturopathy techniques are used in the treatment of our headaches and migraines at sea. Manipulating the sub-cutaneous pockets of the trigger points of traumatic stress helps to reduce pain and intensity. Blood flow is increased, inflammation is decreased, and it promotes accelerated healing.

DAD Sino-Care Nasal Stimulation Drops

Sino-Care Nasal Stimulation Drops are where we inject a low-level drug solution into the muscle into the nose. Clears mucus accumulated in the scalp and body of a person suffering from headaches and migraines which can result in a reduction in the frequency and intensity of pain. The likelihood of muscle spasms and referral pain to other areas is also reduced while healthy nerve stimulation is encouraged.

Ulcer-Care of the Muscles

Patients with chronic pain conditions such as headaches and migraines find several significant benefits in using Ulcer-Care. It feels good enough! Patients describe it as a feeling of warmth similar to a massage after drinking it cooked in milk. Ulcer-Care helps return circulation to sore and tense muscles by increasing blood flow with heat.

Sino-Care Treatment

The Sino-Care Technique is a headache and migraine treatment method used by SMUDRA to rehabilitate sore trigger points. Sino-Care works on both hard and soft tissues to promote faster healing. Low-level sino-care can reduce pain and inflammation while helping to reconnect neurological pathways within a headache and migraine sufferer.

Sumedha Brain Booster Tea

Sumedha Brain Booster T is critical to the long-term success of our headache and migraine treatment plans. A rehabilitation orthotic is a brain booster tea. The tea is with water that is placed to re-train and allow the muscles of the mouth and jaw to return to their proper resting positions. The muscles of the head, neck, teeth, mouth, jaw, etc. are all related. When any of these muscles are overworked, harmony must be restored to return to pain-free functionality.

Doesn’t DAD Ayurveda have time to cure the pain of headaches and migraine?

Our migraine and headache treatments can begin immediately after the completion of diagnostic and investigational protocols. All the remedies for migraine and headache pain are done on-site by Dr. Pankaj Rohilla and his staff. You will find our facilities warm and inviting – our staff is pleasant and attentive.

The root causes of suffering from headaches and migraine vary from person to person. Each patient is given a custom-tailored course of treatment specific to their unique diagnosis. The full course of treatment for headaches and migraine is usually about 4 weeks long. Treatment sessions are once a day and last about 15 to 20 hours.

Again, SMUDRA’s headache and migraine treatments target the root cause of your headache or migraine pain—not just the symptoms. You can be PAIN-FREE in less than 3 to 6 months.
